How do I apply?
Register with the NAWA system and log in. Once you have logged in, you will see information on which programmes are currently running calls. Select a programme click the Fill out form button and complete the application.
Do I have to submit the application as soon as it is completed?
If you do not want to submit the application immediately because, for example, you are missing an attachment, you can save a draft of the application. The draft will be waiting for you - you can complete it later and then send the application.
However, remember to meet the call deadline. After the deadline, you will no longer be able to send submit application. Once you have submitted your application, you can no longer edit it.

My application is already submitted. What is next?
Your application first undergoes a formal evaluation. The staff of the National Agency for Academic Exchange initially assess whether it is complete. If any of the required files are missing or if an attached file is illegible, you will be asked to complete your application. You will then receive a notification.
If this happens, complete your application - use the supplementary form to do this. If everything is in order, your application will proceed to the substantive evaluation stage. We will keep you informed of every important stage of the evaluation process. You will also receive a final reply to your application from us.

Does NAWA work on mobile devices?
Yes, but application forms and other documents are often complex and we recommend filling them out on devices with a resolution of at least 1024x768.
